Choosing Ingredient Bins for Flour, Sugar and Dry Ingredients
Match ingredient bins to the ingredients you handle, the space available and how staff refill the preparation area. A capacity number is only one part of the decision.
Start with the ingredient and replenishment workflow
Identify the ingredient, the amount normally used between refills and the method used to transfer it. Ask Kenford to confirm suitability for the intended ingredient and any operating conditions that matter to your kitchen.
Volume in litres is not the same as ingredient weight. Flour, sugar and other ingredients have different bulk densities. Do not convert the listed litre capacity directly into a kilogram claim without appropriate product and loading information.
Compare the published Kenford sizes

Allow room for access
Check shelf or floor space, opening clearance and the reach needed to refill or remove ingredients. Ask about the current lid arrangement, accessories and handling requirements for the exact model.
Plan identification and cleaning
Choose a labelling and stock-rotation process that your team can maintain. Obtain the care instructions and confirm how the bin will be emptied, cleaned, dried and returned to service. Do not infer that a bin is airtight or suitable for a specific storage environment from its appearance.
Prepare the purchase list
Include code, quantity, intended ingredient, space restrictions, delivery city and any documentation requirements. For a mixed setup, specify each size separately. View Kenford ingredient bins or ask the team to check your selection.
Turn the guide into a product shortlist
Share product codes, quantities, measurements and delivery location. Ask Kenford to confirm specifications, intended use, availability and lead time for your selection.
