Ice Caddy Buying Guide for Banquets and Catering

An ice caddy should fit both the service demand and the physical route through the venue. Capacity, access and handling are more useful selection criteria than appearance alone.

Estimate the service requirement

List the beverage or service stations that need ice, the expected replenishment schedule and where ice will be loaded. A purchase manager and service team should agree on the workflow before deciding quantities.

Do not treat litres as kilograms. The stated storage volume does not establish the permitted ice weight or the number of drinks a unit will support. Ask for the loading guidance of the exact model.

Measure access and working clearances

Compare overall dimensions with doors, lift openings, storage positions and turning space. Allow room for staff to operate the lid and work around the unit. Ask how dimensions are oriented if the specification does not label them.

Check wheels, drainage and cleaning

  • Confirm the wheel configuration and suitability for the planned surfaces.
  • Request handling instructions for thresholds, ramps and vehicle loading.
  • Check how drainage is managed in your proposed service location.
  • Obtain cleaning and drying instructions before the first service.
  • Confirm replacement-part availability if it matters to your maintenance plan.

Kenford KIC-110 reference

The KIC-110 insulated ice caddy is listed at 110 L, with overall size 800 × 585 × 745 mm. These are starting points for a fit and workflow check, not a universal recommendation for every venue.

Compare quotations on the same basis

Include the model code, quantity, delivery city, required date, documentation needs and any operating constraints. Ask the supplier to identify the supplied configuration and exclusions. Use actual product documentation when checking components; illustrative exploded visuals are not a technical parts list.

Turn the guide into a product shortlist

Share product codes, quantities, measurements and delivery location. Ask Kenford to confirm specifications, intended use, availability and lead time for your selection.
